FERRARI 250 GT BERLINETTA LUSSO "STEVE McQUEEN" - 1:18 SCALE DIECAST MODEL

The Ferrari 250 GT Lusso (luxury) or GT/L was first shown at the 1962 Paris Auto Show where it was enthusiastically welcomed by the public. Designed by Pininfarina it is often considered one of the most beautiful cars ever created. Featuring a nose similar to the 250 GT SWB, a stylish sleek fastback inspired rear and thin pillars providing a panoramic rear window. With few external adornments the Lusso's bumpers blend nicely into the hand formed shape and the chrome grille is typical Ferrari egg crate design and one of the few places chrome was used on the vehicle.

The chassis was the conventional 250 GT Ferrari setup except for a few new rear suspension features borrowed from the GTO and the Colombo designed V12 engine provided the car's power breathing through triple Weber carburetors. With performance and style it was bound to attract collectors and racing enthusists with one uniquely painted version owned by Steve McQueen (as shown).
